Castile soaps are known for their natural healing of eczema, dry skin, psoriasis, achne and blemishes while being gentle enough for your baby! I have been impressed with it's gentle cleansing on my pre-teen's oily skin and it's great lather. It's worth looking into!

On a farm note: We've had an exciting time on our off-grid farm as our sewer lines froze last week. We've spent an entire week trying to thaw out 35 feet of frozen lines in -25 deg C temperatures. Needless to say that things have finally thawed out enough to start running downhill again! Thank God for warmer winds and thank you Kelly for your perseverance! Come to think of it, this is the only ON-GRID thing we have going at the farm! Isn't that funny! We decided that if we were to house 30 or more retreat guests at a time we would need dependable waste water facilities right off the bat. Well, as it turns out it really doesn't matter if or not your on-grid or not, when it's cold things freeze up! It's a steep learning curve regardless of your grid choice. Lesson learned: when it's really cold, flush that low-flow more often :)
Well, with all that said, I've got chores to get done and soap to make! Enjoy each moment with peace and calm regardless of your circumstances - perseverance brings character and Help is on the way.
outside: -2 deg C, warming up quite nicely
inside guest house: 24 deg C, more than cozy
